Angela Maltese, CA, CFP
Angela Maltese was appointed to the board of the Ontario Arts Council in November 2009. Currently based in Thunder Bay, Ms. Maltese is a passionate advocate for the arts and is actively involved in various community activities.
For more than a decade, she has volunteered for Magnus Theatre in various capacities including vice-president of the board of directors, member of the executive committee, chair of the finance committee, board secretary and chair of the audience development committee. Ms. Maltese was a founding member and the finance chair of the capital campaign cabinet for the Magnus in the Park Capital Campaign which resulted in the successful transformation of a Thunder Bay heritage building into the Dr. S. Penny Petrone Centre for the Performing Arts.
She was a founding member and director of the Thunder Bay Women’s Leadership Forum and served as finance chair. She has held various other volunteer positions including a member of the North of Superior Film Association’s selection committee for the David Brown Award presented to the top three films produced by graduates from the film production program at Confederation College. She holds memberships in the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, the North of Superior Film Association and the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.
Angela Maltese is a partner at Grant Thornton LLP, one of Canada’s leading professional services firm providing accounting and business advisory services. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and was entered on their Roll of Honour in 1987. She is a certified financial planner and is licensed as a public accountant in the province of Ontario. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree and was the 1985 recipient of the Dean Braun Medal from Lakehead University.
