John D. McKellar C.M., Q.C., Vice-Chair
A lawyer with the firm WeirFoulds LLP., and for many years its Chairman, Mr. McKellar is Chair of the Toronto Arts Council, Vice-Chair of the Ontario Arts Foundation, Vice-Chair of the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund, Chair of the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, Chairman of the Theatre Subsection of the Mayors Arts Committee, an advisor to the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, and a board member of Tarragon Theatre, Off-Centre Music Salon, The Glenn Gould Foundation and Fundamentally Film Inc. He is also a producer of various plays and musicals and has several theatrical projects now in development. He is a Past President of the Arts and Letters Club of Toronto and a Past Member of the Canada Council for the Arts board of directors, and briefly acted as Chairman.
A member of the Order of Canada, Mr. McKellar is or has been a Director or Officer of various business corporations including the Giffels/NORR group of architects and engineers, Fruit of the Loom Canada Ltd., General Mills Canada Ltd., Chum Ltd., Uniroyal Ltd., MusiquePlus Inc., SportsNet Inc. and Netstar Communications Inc, and is the 2011 recipient of the Edmund C. Bovey Award.
